Customizable Canva Templates for Pinterest
I'm guessing if you are here you know a little about Pinterest, and that's why you are looking for Customizable Canva Templates for Pinterest.
If you are here some other way, let me first tell you a little about why Pinterest is a valuable platform to use, especially for Small business owners, lifestyle bloggers, or digital product creators. Actually, if you have a blog of any kind and want to attract more clicks and visitors, then Pinterest is a great platform.
One key thing to know, though, is that Pinterest is a visual search engine and inspirational platform. This is why it is important to ensure your Pinterest Pins stand out, so people will want to click and save them to their own Pinterest Board.
Now, I get that we're not all great at graphic design, and that's where the Canva Pinterest templates come in. You no longer need to worry about pin designs or stare at a blank screen trying to figure out what you need to do. You can just load up a template, edit the text and colors, and add your own images, and your pin will be ready to post.
Canva templates will help you create beautiful pins and, in minutes and with a little bit of Pinterest know-how, will help you increase your blog traffic.
How to Access Pinterest Pin Templates
First, you will need a Canva account. You can either sign up for a free Canva account or try Canva Pro free for 45 days using my affiliate link. Using Canva Pro will give you access to even more templates, graphics, and download options, including higher-resolution downloads.
Once signed up and logged in you will need to create a new design. The quickest way is to click "Create a Design" from the top right and search for Pinterest Pin.
The template size you will want to use for your Canva templates for Pinterest is 1000 x 1500 px. This is the standard size for a Pinterest pin and gives you plenty of space to add all the information you need to your pin.
Best Canva Templates for Pinterest
Here are a few of the best templates on Canva that I like to use for Pinterest.
These pins are by two creators BetterContentCreators and Creativelyalex. Check out their profiles and follow them on Canva.
You can also access my templates on Canva by typing @bettercontentcreators into the search bar or visiting my Canva Creator profile.

Key points to remember when designing your Pins
Even when you start with a Pinterest template on Canva, you will need to make sure you are following these key points to help increase your clicks and pins.
Keep your design simple and on point.
Make sure you are using relevant images
Also, stick to keywords in your design that match your pin
You can also use Canva Magic Design to create Pinterest Templates. You can learn more about that on the Canva Magic Updates blog post.
Best Practices for Pinterest
Some of the best things I have learned about Pinterest come from Meagan Williamson, who runs Pin Potential. I can highly recommend checking out her Pinterest Challenge and consider signing up for Pin Potential when it opens up, but a few key things to be aware of when pinning include:
Try video pins (this can be as simple as adding animation to your pins)
Create New Pins (Pinterest likes fresh pins)
Use relevant keywords in your titles and descriptions of pins
Link to actual blog posts or videos and not just to a general platform
Include a Call to Action (CTA) on your Pinterest Pins
Use your own images where possible
Other Ways You Can Use Pinterest
Pinterest is a great way to attract more customers, so think about where you want your customers to end up. You can link out to any of the following:
Grow your social media following on IG, TT, or YouTube
Link to a physical product in your shop
Link to blog content
Link to a PDF document as a digital download
Email sign-up page or opt-in freebies
Approved affiliate links can also be used
Try different options and see which ones work best for you.
Using Stock Photos on Pinterest Graphics
You can use stock images from Canva for your Pinterest pins, but the best practice is to take and use your own images.
Canva is used by over 135 million users worldwide, and a virtual assistant will typically use stock images. This is unless their client takes the time to take actual images for a VA to use, but from my experience. Most clients will just want them to use stock images.
Check out my post on Cavna element keywords and apply these to finding better stock images and elements on Canva.
